Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Other posts on this and other forums state that the lip in general is a disposable item....use it and then get a new one if it breaks. That said, I have this on my 2003 CS4 and it has been fine, looks a lot like the Turbo lip, though I never painted it. If I recall it was really cheap ($99).

Bump to this thread guys!
I am putting my 997tt back together after some extensive works, I bought this
997 febi guibo
and compared it to the old one, seemed the same, so chucked it away...
Now I am actually onto rebuild I find that the fit is not perfect as with the OEM one. It has a gap between the metal sleeve and the locating machined hole in the tranny output. The only way to close it is bolt it up then it slightly distorts the Guibo...
Not good and I am thoroughly p*ssed off with the car at the minute lol
So does anyone know where I can get the
GAP01-002 part from? Has anyone else had a fitment issue with the Febi? DO I have the wrong Febi part maybe? or am I missing something... many thanks
upload
Anyone know the PN for the part on an 01? All I can seem to find is the number for the C4S.
As far as worth it, we got the factory AeroKit (taco wing) and it came with the lip spoiler. We've torn it off a few times and have been without it for quite a few years now. I don't notice it any more, but when I was used to the car with the lip there was a noticeable lift in the front at high speed without it. Not enough to really change things, but noticeable. Mostly though it is just something to tear off when you meet a large speed bump, pull too far over a low curb, or have to deal with a steep driveway.
Personally I'd continue to leave it off, but its the wife's car and she wants it back again...

A friend of mine installed one on his '03 Cab, and instead of screwing it into the bumper, he put it on clips for easy removal and replacement. Just a thought
I purchased an All Fit universal lip off eBay for $29 and to my surprise it looks and fits Ok. Once it gets tore up a bit I'll toss it and get another. For the record I have no affiliation.
I have a Spoilerlipp 996 GT3 cup for 02-04 New for sale, includes the spreader plastic rivets.($150.00) I changed my front end and never used this one.
