Hello Planet-9!
I am a new member here and have been lurking around many threads, but am having difficulty finding a thread that comes close to being a "Wheel Fitment Guide" for the 987
Boxster/Cayman
. I have seen many individual "will these fit" threads, and think a list of "tested and approved" wheel sizes would make for a nice sticky! My plan is to modify this post to include more and more data as it accumulates. My intention is to gather data for those with
stock
ride height, but if I get good data, I may include "approved ride heights"
So guys and gals, what wheels have you been able to fit on your 987 Boxster/Cayman?
Please see the following example (Not sure how accurate, but just as an example):
Wheels: 997 Carrera "Lobster Claw"
Size + Offset:
Front - 19x8 +57
Rear - 19x11 +67
Required Spacer:
Front -
Rear -
Tire Size:
Front -
Rear -
Wheels: Forgestar CF5V
Size:
Front: 19x9 et 45
Rear: 19x10 et 32
Tires
:
Michellin Pilot Supersport
Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 265/35/19
Suspension:
KW V1 coilovers, lowered approx 1.5"
Elephant Racing Camber Plates
Elephant Racing rear toe arms (to be installed).
Thanks for your input! Any issues with rubbing at that ride height? fender rolling/ camber adjustments necessary etc?

There is already a sticky in the wheel/tire section:
http://www.planet-9.com/porsche-tires-and-wheels/32684-wheel-tire-setups-worked.html
Wheels,
Signature SV-104 Monoblock Forged 18 inch
9 in F, offset 47
10 in R offset 35
Currently, using a 10mm wheel spacer front and 18mm rear
RE71R's 18 inch
Front 255/35
Rear 275/35
No rubbing with this set up. I do have
Ohlins
with spring rate of 350 lbs/in F and 450 lbs/in R and the spring perch is smaller at the bottom of the spring base than OEM.
Car is lowered 30mm and corner balanced
Camber F -1.6, R -2.1
Using Terett GT adjustable swaybars and down links.
With this set up could have ordered 9.5 wide front wheels and 11 inch rear wheels to house 265/35 F and 285/30 18 inch RE71R's.
