Q: Would it be possible to install an appropriately size universal muffler, say a Dynomax, Flowmaster, MagnaFlow, using a shop that can do the necessary mandrel bent tubing?

Q: Would it be possible to install an appropriately size universal muffler, say a Dynomax, Flowmaster, MagnaFlow, using a shop that can do the necessary mandrel bent tubing? What are the specific downsides to this approach, assuming the use of a high flow exhaust of the appropriate size and shape? Is the performance of the various systems commonly discussed here (Miltek, Fabspeed, AWE, etc.) unquestionably better $ for $? Is it that these systems have been tested and have some level of documented results, versus maybe/maybe not getting improved performance from an install of universal? Thanks,
