pdf too large. What is this, just an engine conversion or does it get stuff like LSD and more?
Cayman S
RUF will offer a full range of engine upgrades, aerokits, interior items, suspension items and wheels for the Cayman S later this year.
Currently, we offer:
997S 3.8 and 3.8 X51 engine conversions
RUF Shift Knob
RUF Steering Wheel Airbag
RUF Aluminum Pedal Set
RUF 19” Wheels
Ruf RKC
Assuming the PDF is my blue metallic baby, it is chock full of goodies. Engine is supercharged to 400+ hp, LSD, Ruf suspension, larger front brakes, new front bumper cover (mid inlet for radiator for air/water intercooler), rear bumper cover is modified, Ruf exhaust, 19" Ruf wheels. I got to put over 1200 km on the car driving to Spain from Pfaffenhausen and it was everything I had hoped for. Plan to have it shipped to Dallas for an intro at the Ruf Autocentre in the next month or so.

how does this car compare to a GT3 and the Cayman GTR
supercroc,
Did they supercharge your 3.4L or did you also get an engine swap? Which LSD are they using do you know?
Ruf RKC
K-Man,
Engine is the stock one with modified CR and supercharger/intercooler/exaust installation to keep the Porsche serial numbers for registration. Don't know the specifics of the LSD yet. The power delivery is very linear unlike the on/off boost with a turbocharger.
Daniel,
As far as comparisons, the car is very useable day to day and probably on par with the GT3 in that aspect. The handling dynamics are naturally quite a bit different. Having no experience with the Cayman GTR, I can only assume that the RKC is a bit more of a finished piece as is expected from RUF. My car was built as a daily driver but the suspension could be set up for any possible circumstance. This is ultimately the benefit of dealing with RUF - your car will be built to your intended usage.

do u have a pic of the ruf shift knob and pedals?
man that thing is tiny.. i can't make it out at all
Does anyone have a picture of the RUFtronic paddle shift?
I called their Texas location to inquire about the X51 engine swap, which would cost $42k. They need your Cayman to be put on the waiting list. 5-6 weeks prior to the work being done and you will have to have your Cayman shipped to their location by one of their trusted shippers. The 3.8 X51 conversion on the tiptronic is compatible with the existing transmission, whereas I thought that it would of require the trans. From the 911.
