Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone else think the new 718 Boxster looks like a god damn Fiat Barchetta? I cannot un see this

POST 4Original post

It's not a radical redesign from the 981. The usual front and rear bumper change with the front taking the usual reversal of the shape of the outgoing car's front air intakes and change of rear bumper and rear lights. The side skirt section of the body has an additional recessed surface along the bottom and the door handles have been changed. When you see them side by side I doubt the changes are going to be as drastic as some think.

POST 5Original post

I like the look overall. Its the engine I am concerned about, but I will see how it drives before I judge. I havent a particular issue with a flat 4.

POST 7Original post

Wow, you people have sharp eyes. They look exactly the same to me as, apart from the rear grille, do the 991.1 and 991.2. They won't feel the same though, if the 911s are anything to go by.

POST 8Original post

I'm the first to accuse Porsche of lazy styling (they tend to facelift cars rather than re-design) but they don't look anything like each other...?? (the Porsche and the Fiat).

POST 10Original post

Apparently the only panels carried over from the 981 are the bonnet and boot lid.

POST 11Original post

The picture above makes the 718 look slightly longer and sleeker or this could just be my vision!! I know it will be like comparing apples and pears but I was recently given the 2 litre 4 pot macan as a loan car and I was really surprised as it was a lot better than I was expecting!
