So for instance if you jump in the car it sets up for you when you unlock from the key, and likewise if your wife/partner/15 year old son/etc uses the car then it will setup the seating position when they unlock the car with the other key.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can anyone please help! I've just bought myself a 2005 911 Turbo. Love the car, but am getting annoyed at the electric seat that keeps moving back every time I unlock the car. I am sure it's in the manual somewhere, but I don't have the paperwork to hand at the moment.
Any ideas how I can 'lock' the seats?
Thanks -
Big MAngo, welcome,
if you look at the programme buttons by the kick plate you should see a button with a key on it if you press this down at the same time as the memory memorybutton then i think that saves the current seating position to the key!
Also if you put the car in reverse at the same time then it will auto dip the passenger mirror when you go into reverse so you can keep an eye on the alloys!!!
Good luck and enjoy. Lets see some photos!
If you want to disable the seat memory everytime the key is pressed, from what I remember, on the seat position preset buttons, you press button 2 and the key memory button for 10 seconds with the ignition on and that should clear it. It is in the handbook.
Wahoo! Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Now, all I have to do is figure out why that poxy detachable hard top leaks, how to turn off the traction control and stop my passengers from screaming.
Much ta.
Yep the above posts are correct... the point of the keys is that you can program individual settings for each key. So for instance if you jump in the car it sets up for you when you unlock from the key, and likewise if your wife/partner/15 year old son/etc uses the car then it will setup the seating position when they unlock the car with the other key. you will note if you have the 2 keys, they have a different colour band around them so you can identify which is which. Setting the memory for the keys is in the manual... if you can't find it I'll grab mine and detail the procedure.
