Looking for a little more information. I have a power steering fluid leak. It appears to be where the fluid lines attach to the steering rack. I have read many threads here. Seems likely to be the high pressure line where it interfaces with the rack. Are there any articles or threads related to replacing the high pressure line? How hard is the high pressure line to replace? Is the rack typically ok? Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Walnutz, You can look at my article on replacing the PS pump with electric shown here Electric Power Steering Kit - Articles The both lines are clamped to the rack with a single bolt which is fairly easy to get to with the left front wheel removed. There are O Rings that seal the fittings. If needed I have a lightly used high pressure line for sale in the classified ads. You might try searching for power steering leaks or over heat. It is a common problem for cars that are tracked with slicks and alot of negative camber. Not sure of your situation. Have you confirmed it is not the rack itself? Good luck Rob

Thanks Rob VN for your reply. I did find your article while researching the topic. Looks like it is the rack itself. Both rack boots have fluid in them, the drivers side enough to leak. The lines into the rack seem fine. Although, it sounds like I should change the o rings during rack replacement. I pulled the rack out today and will find out tomorrow about a rebuilt rack. Taking the rack out was very straight forward, but you need a lift to do it, or at least make the work much easier. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
