Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I guess it's just a case of how much do you want to lose on resale, on top of the initial repair bill?
Leading evidence: 'Repair bill' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair bill' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
im new here, only had the 911 a few months, and i must say, what a car!! Ive had plenty of fast cars before, but this thing is in a league of its own!!
I have a bit of a dilemma.....!!! My car had an argument with a marque over the weekend and lost! I have a huge scratch on my roof that you can get the white of your finger nail in about 45cm long.
I dont know what to do in terms of getting it sprayed/wrapped etc.
Do i get it resprayed in silver, or do i try something a bit different? Ive been given the idea of getting to roof either black/anthrecite/carbon, along with getting the wheels done dark too?
Really confused and just wanted you guys opinion on what to do for the best, i love the look of the car now and really dont want it to be become "too much" or tacky.
Here are some pics of the car so you can see what it is like now, id love to know what you guys think??
I would keep it as it is - it's a great looking car so why spoil it. I think if you go down the black/anthracite route it may start to look like a GT2 RS wanabee, although that is the bonnet rather than the roof. Not everyone would appreciate it when you come to sell it either.
Just my opinion at the end of the day.
keep it as it is they look really good in silver and yours looks paticularly nice. It might look different pimped up but it wont look good or stylish IMHO
I would agree to get the paint done, after all the scratch will still be there under the wrap and you would have to explain it to the next owner and reduce your sale price accordingly.
Get it done, and enjoy your car knowing it is A1 or else it will niggle away at the back of your mind................I know!
KEEP IT SILVER!! No brainer mate.
What attracted you to 911's in the first place? Originality / finish / 'quality' I suspect, and not boy racer stripes!
keep it standard ( I think thats the majority view)
If you have cash to burn spray it Seal Grey - I am told its a faster colour than silver
. It must be true the salesman told me.
aren't you insured anyway? If it wasnt your fault reinstate it via an OPC and get a modern 911 courtesy car for a few days. Or even if you have to pay the excess its always worth getting a proper job done now rather than wrapping it and deciding later.
