Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, First post and need some help please! I've had my 996 facelift C2 for 18 months with no troubles but in the last few dark nights I've noticed when I turn the lights on sometimes they come on straight away and other times there is up to a 20 second delay. They are the xenon type if that makes a difference? Then when I was going fairly rapidly down a dark but luckily straight road I went on to full beam and lost all lights! A quick on and off on the lights switch and all was well. Hasn't done it since! Is this the on/off switch about to fail or something else? Luckily Wrightune is very close to me so may need a visit there... Cheers in advance Nev 2003 996 C2 Bikes 1098 and 748
