Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I think one of the Tire Rack guys did it recently. Search for their posts and it may have some info for you.

POST 5Original post

I did it! I live in good ole bham and me and my dad did it 2 summers ago...AWESOME TIME! They really do a great job and you learn a lot! If you have any questions at all hit me up... Corbin

POST 6Original post

Bump to this thread guys! I am putting my 997tt back together after some extensive works, I bought this 997 febi guibo and compared it to the old one, seemed the same, so chucked it away... Now I am actually onto rebuild I find that the fit is not perfect as with the OEM one. It has a gap between the metal sleeve and the locating machined hole in the tranny output. The only way to close it is bolt it up then it slightly distorts the Guibo... Not good and I am thoroughly p*ssed off with the car at the minute lol So does anyone know where I can get the GAP01-002 part from? Has anyone else had a fitment issue with the Febi? DO I have the wrong Febi part maybe? or am I missing something... many thanks upload

POST 7Original post

YES, I also went. Then one month after I purcess my first porcshe! It made a huge inpact on me, I have bein involved in motorsports all though out my teens and up. The classes the instructors and the track are all top notch! I am going back for the masters when time permits. You will find a new respect for the stock brakes and suspension. I would like to thank my sister for getting me the class and my bother in law and his brother for going. We had a great time and ask J Lewis if he remembers the three Long Island boys! We won the auto X chalenge by 1 minte over the next closest group. Get a lot of sleep and drive the track in your head. Braking and bipping are a must! Good Luck, Tim

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So excited to finally do this! After making the move from my c4 to gt3 I am scared of the damn thing and want some good track time with the right people before mine goes to the track so I hope this helps. I am scheduled to go to Miller Motorsports the following week.

POST 9Original post

If you can't "heel toe"....I predict you will spin...... Barber is a great track with roller coaster elevation changes!

POST 11Original post

That looks like a ball. Can you pick and chose which car you want to drive? How did the cayman S do compared with the 997.. That would be a close race on a windy track.

POST 12Original post

the cayman would not be close Carrera on a road course .... as far as car selection .... you chose which silver 997 you drive .... mine was #15 ... the Cayman/Boxster/skills training cars are left at each excercise site

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

More excited by the minute!!!

POST 14Original post

Nice, did they time your runs? I would like to see the differences between the porsche models run back to back by the same driver

POST 15Original post

no timing as the time on the track was lead/follow with an instructor leading the way in a seperate car .... stay online and he goes faster and faster .... our group (4 students per group) was the fastest of the entire class and we were able to catch and pass some other slower groups ....

Quote: Great to hear this! I'm scheduled to attend the June 17th class. My wife gave me this as a gift and I'm going with a buddy. I usually track my car about 3-4 times per month and was hoping to improve my overall driving skills with this course. Sounds to me, like this driving school is pretty worthwhile. I'm really looking forward to it!

POST 21Original post

I'm looking at my schedule for this school as well. When i raced motorcycles, I went to quite a few schools and I know it helps tremendously. Oddly enough, most of the time its just getting the basics down, which is much easier to say than do when you're screaming into a corner at 140.

I know each of these instructors are better than I... and I hope I can learn from them... I know they will teach, it's up to me to learn though. Driving Schools A to Z

POST 25Original post

The Porsche Sport Driving School is FANTASTIC the host hotel was absolutely amazing the views from my room, I had a corner room above the pool driving exercises were very well thought out, challenging and informative ... the cars .. .well, they are P-Cars We drove all of them ... Cayenne, Cayenne Turbo, Cayman, Cayman S, Boxster, Boxster S, Carrera, and even a 20 minute session in the Carrera S The track ... top notch with no expense spared it's a Wilson design but, better executed than most they do have a little bug issue ;D the competitions were also fun .. who do you think won the AutoX ? If you ever have a chance to go to the Porsche Sport Driving School I highly recommend it. The instructors were truly professional, helpful, polite and very well versed in high performance driving instructions. ... the #1 instructor is Hurley Heywood, yes he won the 24 hours of LeMans a few times, and all of the others were either former or current professional racers ... Everything, and I mean everything, the facilities, the cars, the food and the people were all fantastic don't forget to check out the onsite motorcycle museum
