Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The M5 went early last week and was instantly replaced with a much faster than I expected diesel X5.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys, I've done a couple of posts on here but until yesterday i didn't actually have a 911.
But yesterday it all came together after two weeks of chaos and many sleepless nights.
I had a 2006 E60 M5 and a caterham 7 SLR spec but the cars just weren't doing it for me in day to day running and enjoyment in our current weather climate so they had to go. After much much head scratching I made my plan and went for it.
The M5 went early last week and was instantly replaced with a much faster than I expected diesel X5. Then this week I did some work to the caterham and a lot of talking with a mate and low and behold we came to a deal and did a swap!
It's a 2002 52 plate standard turbo, black on black with no PCM but has an alpine sat nav unit fitted. Full service history, all the necessary condensers and rads changed already, new brakes last year, 57k and best of all a wonderful sounding cargraphic exhaust!
Only done a few miles but oh wow this car is simply phenomenal on the road, on boost in just savage, I cannot imagine what it would be like with 0.9 bar boost.
The old fleet:
and now replaced with
Straighten up those steering wheels before taking pictures next time, please!!
Nice turbo, always look good in black. Not overly keen on X5s myself, but that's just my personal opinion, I'm sure they're good cars. Did you consider keeping the M5 instead? It looked great (with the original wheels, not keen on the M6 wheels you have on it in the 'snow' picture).
Welcome aboard... :thumb:
let it off it's leash today, what a car, the suspension really handles everything you can throw at it , though i am surprised how lively the car is at the rear considering it's 4 wheel drive. Then again I wonder if i am just going faster.
Also took some proper photos today after a quick clean
Well done and congrats, looks really nice. These 996 Turbos seem to be selling like hot cakes at the moment, and every new owner is left gobsmacked by how ferociously fast they are.
Does indeed look fantastic. The Sat-nav install looks interesting, any close up pics? How does it work I presume it gets around all the MOST issues because you still have the CDR 23 installed. I would definitely be interested in getting this done to my C4S- you don't know who did the install do you?
Thanks Neil
