Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Run 14 hours' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run 14 hours' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I use the auto climate control, which I vary between 68-72.

Suggestion
I've run the car fairly hard with the windows up (thanks to the deluge of rain we've been experiencing here, seemingly every Saturday as well!) and I've not experienced any abnormal cabin heat.

I don't own one,...yet but I did get into one for a test drive after someone did and it was idling for a few minutes before I got in and it seemed a bit warm inside and smelled a little.

The true test will be when the weather gets warmer, but I don't expect any problems.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

All you folks who have their Cayman's - any problems with interior getting warm. I have seen some comments in the mags. Any one notice if it might be a problem in warm weather?
We have completed 1500 mi in the last 5 days and there has been no noticeable cabin temp issue, even with being in Phoenix AZ during the Barrett Jackson auction. FABULOUS, is all I can say about the car.
I agree, I've put on ~600mi with weather ranging between 45-65F. No problem with interior temp. I use the auto climate control, which I vary between 68-72. I love it. The true test will be when the weather gets warmer, but I don't expect any problems.

I should state that while I thought it seemed warm inside while idling, it was NOT warm at all while driving, actually very comfortable.

Granted it's winter in Northern CA, interior temp of the car has not been an issue. I've run the car fairly hard with the windows up (thanks to the deluge of rain we've been experiencing here, seemingly every Saturday as well!) and I've not experienced any abnormal cabin heat. My sense is that critics who have not driven the car and are seeking viable criticism are projecting more than describing the cabin temp as a potential issue. All I can say is 'wrong!' and good luck finding real criticism. The car is a pure pleasure to drive.
I think that whole thing about cabin temp was untrue. I have been driving in 75 to 80 degree tropical weather and I keep the air on low with perfect comfort. The true test will come when it hits 90, but I don't think it will be a problem at all. Nothing even feels warm back there!
Russ
I will second what Russ said. I have put over 450 miles on my car that have included days in the mid 80's and I have had no heat issue at all.. Everything about the design and function of the Cayman S has so far exceeded my expectations.
The Boxster came with a pizza oven for a rear trunk so it makes some sense there would be a little heat into the cabin of a Cayman... but nothing the AC couldn't handle, if needed.
I ran 14 hours from Fl to Md. and had no temp issues. I also ordered and recieved the rear window screen from Suncoast. This will hopefully keeps the temps down a bit in the hot Maryland summers
Like Russ, I have been driving around in 75-80+ degree temperature. I have detected no cabin heat whatsoever, and the engine cover is cool to the touch. Maybe the Boxster is different.
GMUND; do you have the part number for the screen??? Wife would like to have it, although I am not sure that I am ready for it. Is it pretty easy to get in and out??

$160. It is on my list of NM summers make this baby too hot. (Suncoast is a site sponsor)
