Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I do have to say the Fabspeed exhausts sounds great as I myself got it installed including the intake.
Leading evidence: 'Install including the intake' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install including the intake' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

HELLO EVERYONE,IM NEW TO RENNLIST,JUST WANTED TO SAY I HAVE A 2001 996,IVE JUST DONE SOME UPGRADES AND HAVE A QUESTION.I ADDED THE FABSPEED EXHAUST,AND COLD AIR INTAKE KIT,MAN I LOVE THE SOUND NOW!!!BUT I WAS WONDERING ABOUT CHIPPING THE CAR NEXT WITH SOME HEADERS.WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK OF THIS?IS A CHIP A GOOD THING?AND ARE HEADERS A GOOD THING ALSO. THANKS MIKE
I do have to say the Fabspeed exhausts sounds great as I myself got it installed including the intake. The only thing though is if your looking for any power increases from those mods it does very little and in some cases you lose power. I would definitely dyno the car and see for yourself. Prior to chipping by TRG(Racer's Group Unichip) it showed I lost power from the mods and though it may seem just the sound alone makes it seem like its faster it either lost power or you very little to the point tracking the car you won't feel the difference. I live in San Francisco and just going up the steep hills with another adult passenger I noticed my car lost a bit of torque going up. After getting it chipped and all by TRG the hp/torque was restored to the way it was. In a sense chipping would be a good way to go but be sure to tell them you had the mods done. For some reason free flowing exhausts works well for turbo'd cars but not on NA cars because NA engines does need some back pressure. I'm not saying it's not worth to do the mods because if you plan to go to track meets and do some tracking people will love the sound and that's more then enough to justify the mods. If you want best bang for the buck I recommend the B&M shifter- you will be definitely surprized how it shifts seamlessly and quicker. Suspension is another option but once you get into that it's going to compromise the ride on the street vs track unless you decide on adjustable which gets expensive. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to track your car because thats what Porsche's shines on. Regards. Mike
