This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

RockAuto has 3 different Bilsteins, B4, B6 and B8, each one supposedly progressively better though the price differential is very small. I will spend a little time on track, but maintaining ride comfort is paramount for me. I’ve been searching through the forums but cannot find any real world descriptions of the difference between these three struts. Can anybody confirm the differences, or does more expensive equal better handling but worse ride?

POST 2Original post

in summary: B4 = oem B6 = sports mode B8 = lowered sports mode you can find my thread on my suspension refresh https://www.planet-9.com/987-cayman-and-boxster-chat/146937-bumpy-journey-changing-absorbers.html depending on your tolerance for stiff rides your milage may vary. my 2 cents - stick with oem if comfort is key

POST 3Original post

Has anyone sent the factory B4 units back to Bilstein for a rebuild? I know the B4s are lower-cost twin-tube dampers, and I can't find any info if Bilstein rebuilds them like their monotube dampers.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
