Been experiencing wheel Vibrations and had the Wheels balanced but made no difference but I had replaced the front Wheel nuts with aftermarket ones from the Porsche Shop in Birmingham.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been experiencing wheel Vibrations and had the Wheels balanced but made no difference but I had replaced the front Wheel nuts with aftermarket ones from the Porsche Shop in Birmingham. They didnt do a Stainless locking nut so I left the origional one on. I took the car to be checked again and the Porsche shop recon its the Wheel Nuts causing the problem, they changed the locking nut over for a Stainless non locking nut but its still the same. They are now saying to change the nuts back to the standard ones to solve the problem. Do you think the Wheel nuts would be causing this problem, they must be a different weight So I was wondering......

POST 2Original post

If you changed the locking nut to be a stainless just like the others then there shouldn't be an issue. Is it only on the fronts, vibration through the steering wheel? I'd change back to the original nuts and see if it cures it, if so then maybe ask for your money back??

POST 3Original post

+1 Pretty straight forward process of elimination. Surely just swap back and see if it solves the problem. One way or another you will know if it is the new bolts.
