Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I tried to search the forum for the answer to this question, but came up empty. I want to use my stock springs with a set of JRZ double adjustable shocks and run A Stock class with the SCCA. In order to do this, I will need spring perches that accomodate the factory springs (I have PASM). I have done this before with my 2009 Subaru where my fabricator cut the spring perches off my factory shocks and fabbed them to fit onto my Moton shocks. Rather than destroy a perfectly good set of Porsche PASM shocks/struts, just to get the spring perches, I'm hoping to find appropriately sized spring perches which I can harvest from some less expensive shocks from my local Pep Boys or Autozone (i.e. shocks could be for a different car make as long as the springs are the same diameter). Thus my question, does anyone know the stock (PASM) spring diameters? Bonus points if you can tell me the least expensive shocks I can carve-up to get suitable spring perches for the springs. Thanks, Alan
