Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, looking to upgrade to a set of coilovers on a 50k mile 996t. Interested to hear what for members have gone for / rationale.. Also interested in whether any other suspension components should/could be included as part of any suspension swap Last point - likely labour hours to swap? Many thanks

POST 2Original post

I have H&R coilovers...were on the car when I bought it: Seem OK, can feel the bumps but not much 'rocking' when braking/accelerating :thumb:

POST 4Original post

Long running article in 911 & PW re 996 suspension. Author settled on Ohlins coilovers.

POST 5Original post

What are you looking to get out of the swap? Lower? Less body roll? The only thing I'm 'wanting' is a lower profile, but unfortunately speed bumps around my estate and at work mean that putting on a set of coilovers will make it significantly less enjoyable to drive daily!

POST 6Original post

Get a front end lift kit I think cargeaphic do one with a bilstone combo

POST 7Original post

Coilovers Watching with interest as this is my next area to fettle :thumb:

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I purely want to refresh the main suspension components with a more aggressive stance to pair with some 19" BBS LM's purchased last year....i will revert to standard suspension / wheels once the novelty has passed.
