Re: How To: Spark Pug change?
Followed Pedro's direction ion changing the plugs. The directions are great and in theory it should be easy, but it was a little more difficult than it should have been.....close quarters in trying to get your hands in there to dissconnect the coil pack and then reconnecting them. Once I got one bank done the other side was really a lot easier but small hands would make it easier and trying to get a small torque wrench under there to torque the plugs down was not as easy as I thought. In all it took about 3 hours. But that included down time trying to figure out how to contort my hands to get in the tight spaces. We will see how things are tomorrow morning when I fire it up. Not an impossible task but certainly one that you need to have patience with. While you are under the car and remove a couple of fender well covers you realize how dirty the car gets. This was a good time to clean it all out.....kind of like the radiator cleaning that needs to get done from time time.
Re: How To: Spark Pug change?
I thought about doing it myself too...for about 3 seconds after Tom at TPC said it takes an hour and a half to change out the plugs if someone knows what they are doing. I went to my guy and the car was up and off a jack stand and jack in an hour. He even spent some time looking over the turbo setup and would have been done quicker but working around the catalytic converter slowed him down.
What plugs did TPC send you? I got Bosch 7403.
