Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I'm interested in switching my 9.5 in wide rears (running 265/35/19 tire with an offset of 46mm) for the 11 in wide wheels from a carrera (51mm offset and I'm planning on running 305/30/19s).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

First off I'll apologize if this question has already been posed and answered. I did do a search and couldn't find an answer to my particular question regarding spacers. I'm interested in switching my 9.5 in wide rears (running 265/35/19 tire with an offset of 46mm) for the 11 in wide wheels from a carrera (51mm offset and I'm planning on running 305/30/19s). The little man in my head, who isn't particulary good at math, tells me I'll need 5mm spacers to correct the offset. Is this correct or am I off base? I've seen enters here of 15-18mm spacers needed but I think that would put me over on the offset. Thanks for any help!

POST 2Original post

I'm useless at this kind of math also - but there are thankfully more than a few calculators out there....like this one: Adaptec Speedware >> Calculator Give a few a try. An important measurement is the clearance you have with the stock tires to your wheel arch. If you end up with a clearance of just a few millimeters, forget it....you'll have rubbing.

POST 4Original post

I would love an answer as well. 305-30 is what I would like to run on turbo1 997 rims in the back and if my memory is correct the offset should be 38 after the spacers are taken into account. So will 305 30 (bridgestone re-11) fit 987-1

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
