Sort of looks like WTB connectors out of a BMW, from what I know they're used for heated seats.

Suggestion

When I put a daylight running module on my son's first Miata I had to remove a plug that was very similar to that one.

It's clearly some sort of test plug, as it has loopback wires.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was cleaning out the map pocket in the passenger door and found this in the bottom. It's clearly some sort of test plug, as it has loopback wires. But beyond that, I have no idea where it came from, how long it's been there or what it is. The part number on it is BMW 1378121. It's 1.5 inches wide by 1.25 inches long. Anyone have good guesses or even identification?

POST 2Original post

When I put a daylight running module on my son's first Miata I had to remove a plug that was very similar to that one. Maybe it is a similar type thing?

POST 3Original post

Sort of looks like WTB connectors out of a BMW, from what I know they're used for heated seats. I'm confident that it's nothing out of the Porsche! Just my two cents !
