I've heard conflicting reports about how the front speakers are wired up to the factory amp (in a 2008 Cayman S with Bose) and I was hoping someone could shed some light. There is the tweeter in the dash and the midrange in the door - are these wired separately to the factory amp or are they wired together first (in series?) and only 1 set of wires comes out to the amp for both speakers? If only 1 set of wires come out, I'm wondering what the impedance is of the set wired together (Thevenin equivalent)? Also, If I install an aftermarket amp in the front trunk near the factory one, do you know where a bolt to the chasis would be to connect the amp's ground? All of the instructions I'm reading say to ground the amp with a cable less than 18" so I would need to find a bolt close to that area. Please don't reply telling me to search the forums. I've been through every thread dealing with aftermarket head unit installs, and I'm trying to get all the info to do it myself (including these small details). Thanks much.
