Two week old 2009 black/black Cayman: PCM 3.0 heated front seats bluetooth bose/xm, universal audio interface 1- Two days ago when starting car first thing in the a.m. nav screen started up with a porsche logo then changed to iPod screen. This is the first and only time the porsche logo splash screen has appeared when starting the car. Is it supposed to appear at all times when starting the car (I'd prefer that it does appear)? All other times the previously selected input appears when starting. 2-When connected to audio interface ipod classic 120GB (latest gen.) is not charging. Works for about a week then goes dead. Any thoughts?

I always get that when PCM starts, whether the car is off or only PCM is off. But mine is 2.1 though!

Do you have the iPod cable connected to both the iPod and USB jacks? I think early runs of the connector cable did not have a USB connector, since I had seen some adverts for replacement cables (though they were specifically targeted for the iPhone). The cable that came with my C2S has both connectors and works flawlessly with both my old video iPod and my iPhone.

The latest ipods and iphones not charging is not unique to Porsche. Apple has changed the way that these new devices charge (although not the connector) so if you want your device to charge you need an adaptor. These are available from the Apple store, and many other places and are made by a company called Scosche and are known as passports.

Is this any different from the *new* (my assumption) cable , which is like the one that came with my C2S?

Thanks for the info on the scosche passport. I hope it fits in the compartment as space is tight as it is.
