I'm still not sure whether I want to use my new amp's 5th channel to drive the bose sub without the amp, or to drive the bose sub amp from the rear channel amplified outputs of my new Clarion head unit.

I will post pictures when I begin work, but for now I'm prepping for my install. My Cayman S has the CDR-24 w/ Bose. The goal is to have a system capable of connecting with my iPod, play MP3s from CDs and / or DVDs, don't need nav or backup camera. The Front End: - Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD - Pioneer HD radio module - iPod connection cable The Amps: - Rockford Fosgate P400-4 - Sony Xplod or Alpine 2 channel amp (from my older stock) The Speakers: - Existing Bose 4" in doors and tweeters in Dash - Focal Access 165CA1 6-3/4" replacing the larger Bose in doors - Existing Bose 4" in back Expansion options: Depending on the sound, everything will be in place to replace the rest of the speakers with something better as necessary. Still waiting on the delivery of the head-unit (back ordered :-( ), and the faceplate...on the way from Germany. Doug

Do you know how you are going to hook all the speakers/sub up to your amp? Are you going to use the bose sub at all? I'm still not sure whether I want to use my new amp's 5th channel to drive the bose sub without the amp, or to drive the bose sub amp from the rear channel amplified outputs of my new Clarion head unit.

I have a plan... I'm going to split the front output and run one feed to one amp that will drive the 6 1/2 Focals in the front doors (replacing the Bose). The other part of that feed along with the rear output will feed the Rockford Fosgate amp that will drive the 4" and Tweeters in the front, and the 4" rears all at 2 ohms each. I will use the violet speaker pair from the head unit to drive the Bose sub in the front passenger well.
