This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

The idea is to relocate the mounting studs in the stock camber plates to achieve negative camber. Looking for opinions on this mod. The goal is to achieve negative camber using stock suspension. Has anyone done this? What camber did you get and what are the downsides to doing this?

POST 2Original post

I bought aftermarket plates which gave me the additional camber that I wanted when used with offset monoballs on the LCA's I looked at modifying my OEM plates and decided that I wanted to eliminate the bushing and associated slop, so I bought the aftermarket plates. Sometimes the effort to DIY is too much and it is better to pay for something that is engineered and built properly.

POST 3Original post

Brian, thanks for your feedback. I just read your "Installed Offset Control Arm Monoballs and Camber Plates" thread and am very intrigued. I might just go that route. My suspension is from Cayman R, do you think your setup will work with it?

POST 4Original post

I would say yes. You can call them, they are more than willing to discuss any concerns and will answer all your questions about their products.

POST 5Original post

You maybe thinking about camber slots that you can machine in the shock tower from the existing mounting holes. I had slots machined in one side of my Cayman due to manufacturing defects, which only allowed for only -1.2 camber on the right side. With the machined slots, the shop was able to balance the front at -1.6 camber. There simply is not enough room for these slots holes to be really effective (camber above -1.6). Camber plates or adjustable lower control arms are a better choice to gain more negative camber.

POST 6Original post

Decided to go with adjustable LCAs. Price about he same Monoballs and Camber Plates and more straightforward to install/adjust.
