Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Rob Tait - Car Tint https://www.cartint.net.au/ Rob has been around a long time, and does great work. Is also a car enthusiast.

I also heard Rob was the guru but when I called 12 months ago, he told me he was retiring and referred me to someone else whom I had no knowledge of. I was getting the 944 windows done and apparently the rear window is one of the hardest cars to do given its size and curvature, maybe  Rob just didn't want a bar of it, although I originally called him based on a 968 I had seen done by him I ended up using Ultrashade in Moorabbin, father and son business.  They had the car for the day and did a great job, most of the labour was spent on the rear window. https://www.ultrashadetint.com.au/

I have a 944 turbo and curious what they charged? I know the rear window is enough for most to refuse the work

I just found their card and it has $600 written on it by me, to be honest, I can’t recall what I paid but probably about right.  I think it was at least $150 extra to attempt the rear screen. He tried one piece of tint first which ended up getting scrapped, then did it in I think two pieces and there are no signs of joins, top job. The rear screen is so large, made a huge difference to heat coming through. Any purists that think tint isn’t original so not a good look should get their head read given our Aussie conditions, or maybe a mole check. I’ve even thought clear tinting the front screen wouldn’t be a bad idea as I think any film will cut UV rays and also protect dashes from splitting 🤔

I read that if they line it up with the demister lines you cant see the join and best to do it in 3 sections but I am not a tinter so if 2 works that's cool. As far as I know any film on windscreen is illegal here, even clear. Most people tint cars these days so I doubt anyone would care
