Recently went from a 987.1 Cayman S to a 987.2 S, old car had a speedArt Export system, really liked the sound want to get something close to that back again, do not really want to spend almost 3K on a speedArt system,looking at the AWE for less than half the cost, should I save my money, or is the AWE good system, any one that has used AWE or heard both would be a great help, the sound clips really don't help me much.

I've spent a lot of time researching 987.2 exhaust options. Here is something that every 987.2 owner needs to know. Unlike 987.1, there are no cats in the mufflers of 987.2 cars. Instead there are 2 cats in each of the headers. So, what this means is that the greatest flow and sound restriction is in the headers. I therefore would not invest too much money in catback systems. Check into Carnewal GT mod, which uses OEM mufflers to deliver more growl. Also keep in mind that most aftermarket catback systems cause drone!
