Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Gert, do you happen to no where I casn obtain the torque measurements for most bolts on the 996 & 964. Typical the wheels, suspension & roll cages. I want to do regular checks on my 996 C2 Cab & yet to be purchased 964 RS. TIA

POST 2Original post

Get the workshop manuals. These have all the data you need. MY-Porsche

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What a guy!. Thanks yet again.

POST 4Original post

My mechanic has a quick palm-sized reference book that lists the torque specs for just about everything in your car. That way you don't have to drag out all of the manuals. I don't know if it is available to the public or not though. Greg

POST 5Original post

A pretty sharp manager at Discount tire who does a ton of PCA Porsches told me 96ft/lbs. That's what I've been using with no problems. Bret

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greg, can you get more details on where we can obtain this booklet from? TIA

POST 7Original post

Here is quite a bit of information: http://www.my-porsche.com/technical/tech2.htm#tech I see here that the Technical Specification books are no longer being produced. Too bad as I found them very handy. The Technical Information books have a great deal of information in them and likely will have everything you are looking for. Reasonably priced too. I have ordered from MY Porsche and they specialize in publications so they know what they are talking about.
