Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

What happened was that we just wanted to get a hp reading and did'nt hook up the cable.on the last to runs we used the rpm hook. The dyno run was just done for use to do a few tests. The dyno did not have the right cooling fans as only on radiator was being cooled and the air temp was over 107 deg.The dyno run was done in 4th gear and taken to 7400 RPM but it made max power at 6800RPM @ 12 psi boost. The rev limiter has been changed The limeter is diferent for each gear.
Leading evidence: 'Replace limeter is diferent' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace limeter is diferent' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. We did alot of testing with the car and to me it handled as good as it did pre S/C

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The
cayman
with the blower was dynoed today. Not a good day to dyno as it was 107 deg here in the ATL but the results were as followes.
410hp @ the wheels, for got the torque but that is around 400hp at the fly wheel.
I will post the dyno tomorrow
Neil
I assume the 400 is a typo & you meant 500, although it would be 450 (still very, very impressive) with an 11% loss which seems to be the consensus here after many dyno posts.
My primary concern for a SC is (obviously) heat dissipation. Meantime, until my warranty is up in a couple of years, I'll be watching with interest. If the engines & your add ons hold together, it's certainly the least expensive big HP gains available.
Yeh not bad is it.We believe that if the weather was cooler and that we had better cooling fans it would have made around 520hp.Top speed is above 195MPH.
Confused, I have always seen the hp as a function of RPM. This one has hp as a function of speed so you do not know what the engine rpm is (or gear). Is it in a constant gear and hence there is a corresponding equivalent engine speed? What am I missing?

Neil,
How's that 500hp
Cayman
project going? got any updates for us? i read your last post "0-60 is around 3 sec's."... and caught myself with my jaw LITERALLY dropped. i can't even imagine.
Chris
I think Neil is AWOL or dead. I've called him almost every day this week, left messages, sent email, even sent him a message on MSN messenger when I saw him online, sent him a PM here and Nada, nothing, Zilch. Neil if you are reading this I need you to respond to what I sent you. Thanks in advance!
GTS700... The Way Porsche Should Have Built The Cayman
ok, you talked me into it Neil. i'll let you start the GTS700 project on my cayman s, and i won't even charge you for the use of the car!
haha
in the motor trend article this summer they asked the professional driver if he thought the
cayman
would be better than the
GT3
if it had the
GT3
's engine. he responded by saying he would worry that the
cayman
's chasis was not designed or able to handle that much power (smoothly). so neil, does the car still seem as balanced and does it still handle as well as before the huge hp increase? thanks.
I have no idea at the moment.this perticular car will have a 6 speed seq box,stand-a-lone traction control system, and twin exhaust set up.and a few aero bits AKA big *** rear wing & front splitter.

What about heat build up? What is your solution?

We have had no issues with heat build up.all temps have been normal. After a 3 hour drive we took it to the local P dealer and the intake temp was lower than a stock
Cayman
. The intercooler system is very efficient due to the design.
