Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

In the end, I would counsel patience - at some point, there will be dependable after-market turbo / supercharger solutions to low end power issue and which will both be affordable AND require careful matching with the systems you are considering replacing now (and don't ignore possibility of factory upgrades on future models).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Just got done at the dealer last night, about to pick up an 07 CS , I want to do headers, exhaust, and chip flash, what will that bring the 295hp 251lbs-ft up to? I don't want to mod her too much, I was hoping to get 325-350 hp with 300-325 lbs-ft without going out of control. any recommendations? Thanks! All the best, Edgar

Best you search this site. There is heaps to read re this most popular subject. Allocate at least a week to do so.

POST 3Original post

The "similar threads" indicated below sure won't help your search this time because the auto search apparently searched "mind" instead of "mods."

POST 4Original post

If I had asked that question a year ago here's the answer that would have saved me the most headache and $$$ "do not put on milltek headers, trust me in a year from now there will be posts viewed over 8000 times about people who have been burned (not to mention their cat converters..)"

POST 6Original post

Mods I have gone around and around on this myself, and am moving toward the "just enjoy the car as it is" position, for several reasons. First, no mods will materially affect top end, which is very, very fast and well beyond the aerodynamic limits of the car - hit 140 mph and you will know what I mean. Next, the mid-engine configuration of the car is its true strength, providing an overall feel which has nothing to do with power. Finally, as a naturally-aspirated set up, there is little we can do to improve low end power curve, which is, in my humble opinion, the only shortcoming of the car - at 4k rpm, the bitch makes plenty of power. In the end, I would counsel patience - at some point, there will be dependable after-market turbo / supercharger solutions to low end power issue and which will both be affordable AND require careful matching with the systems you are considering replacing now (and don't ignore possibility of factory upgrades on future models).

Well the usual headers and exhaust may gain a couple of HP or generally lose them, and then program for a max of 20 perhaps? This would get you about 310-320bhp tops. I would go with the lower bhp number with the exhaust or about 315 with just a flash or less on a stock car.
