eBay Motors: Porsche Boxster 987 Boxster Cayman PERFORMANCE MUFFLER (item 320152483953 end time Sep-03-07 17:18:19 PDT) looks like a good system and sounds great. With a price tag like that it'd be a bargain. Wanna know how it fits. any input is much appreciated. Thanks

High performance parts & accessories from Maxspeed-Motorsports.com No bargain on eBay. They don't tell you where it comes from and they think there is no need to dyno it. Best of luck on that muffler

I saw this on ebay as well. It's the cheapest cayman exhaust I've seen so far. However, I was scared by their description. It sounds like they are saying that the system has never been on a 987 Boxster or Cayman before. How can they expect someone to pay them to test out their own system? edit: also, does anyone know if removal of the bumper is necessary to install a catback on the Cayman? The description of this Maxspeed system states such. I havent noticed anyone mention that they removed their bumper to install a catback that uses the same center exhaust tip position.

Buyer beware that is a 986 system and will not fit on the 987 in that configuration. I've also seen one of these first hand at Imagine Auto (a customer brought one in) and it looked like (*@#$* after a thousand miles, didn't sound very good either IMHO, but I know sound is subjective. I think the old addage holds true here, you get what you pay for. I've got some "chrome paint" that I'll sell you that you can paint your existing exhaust system with from the factory and make it all shiny-like, I'll sell you the cans for a low low price of only $25/can! Guaranteed to give you at least a dozen HP on the ole butt dyno!

K-man , thanks for the input, i was a lil liery about no-name product. Can you please share a lil ideas on what are the good exhaust to get? I know Capristo is the best but what others r good out there?
