Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I was under the impression that all uk cars where deliveried over just a couple of months and there was no difference.

89 point check by OPC should be enough gearbox and clutch needs careful scrutiny, but I'm sure the main dealers do this rgds Domster >> Edited by domster (moderator) on Monday 23 June 12:04

Hi jjr1, it is on Autotrader, do you know something about the car? Any advice before i blow nearly 60k on a shed!! Cheers Scott

POST 4Original post

no I have not seen that one... what price/mileage is it? don't worry I am not going to but it under your nose, just curious? Merlin have a 20k one in at the mo and it will definitely have room on its asking price as the last one they sold came from the same family

POST 5Original post

I understand that the 1999 cars had some issue with the actual power output (fell short of target) and therefore the better cars are the 2001 MY. Might want to look into that as well...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was under the impression that all uk cars where deliveried over just a couple of months and there was no difference. If this is true about the engine outputs is there anyway to check if this car has the lower or higher output short of putting on the rollers? Are you talking 20bhp+ ?? Cheers

POST 7Original post

All the UK cars were delivered between October 99 and early 2000. 2001 cars were LHD. The UK cars that have been dynoed were producing 360 or more, according to posts on the GT3 register forum.

POST 9Original post

jjr1 is that merlin in cardiff? there seem to be 5 cars on the porsche website, and a few others on autotrader... but i really want a black one!

Silver's common....... Melv[/quote] Thanks Melvin. White is gay.

POST 15Original post

I wonder if Porsche realise this. The last I read all GT3RS were going to be white. DAZ PS - I'll add a yellow GT3 clubsport to the garage please. Oh and silver "Rocks"

POST 16Original post

Got to agree Daz, only one colour for me and its...... I also personally preferred this particular car before he went for the full R body, but hey thats just me Mind you red & silver also suit the GT3 well, but white, well to me it just looks like its still in primer Hmmm, I can't quite make my mind up on the blue tho, its IMHO the best colour for a 964RS or 968CS but not so sure on a 993RS or on this GT3 >> Edited by iguana on Monday 23 June 18:52

POST 17Original post

ah but there seems to be a premium for silver!

POST 18Original post

That's good to know ! (gone for yellow for the new one though)

POST 19Original post

for me a GT3 looks best in black!! Think its because its lower but it just looks sleek and mean in black

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, just in the final stages of buying a 1999 GT3. I have gotten the seller to take it to his local Porsche dealer for one of there 89 point checks. Do you think it's worth having one of the people who advertise in the back of Porsche 911 world to take a look as well or if the 89 point porsche check is ok do you think this would be enough?? Also does anyone know what tyres would have been fitted from new? Was there more than one brand fitted? Cheers Scott
