Lots and lots of people on here have used him and I have never seen anything but glowing praise.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking at getting a 987.2 Boxster S in white next month and am playing with the idea of adding some decals to the door after seeing a white Cayman with red decals coming past earlier.
Anyone done this to their car ? Just looking for some idea's.

Cheers for the replies folks.
This is the car I'm getting :
And then I'm thinking of either something like this :
Or this (in red) :
I prefer the first one (white cayman) but I can't seem to find that on either of those websites mentioned above.

Are these aftermarket? They look the perfect size/length
Yes indeed they were from
Design Stuff Online
. The quality is excellent and they still look like like new. They were fractionally too long around the wheel arches but that was easily fixed with a scalpel blade and a metal ruler.
I think the 987 Boxster looks better with full length as per the Boxster Spyder as its a smooth surface.
The Cayman looks better 2/3 length as per the Cayman R.
Where as the 981 cars are more Cayman R like and so 2/3 length works.
On colour personally I'd go black rather than red as I think the white with black works best.
Before. I really dislike solid black wheels so I had to do something...
Wheels repainted in Mclaren Sparkle Grey and diamond cut by The Autowerks

Graphite Grey Cayman R style decals ordered from USA...
Sam from Cargraphics applying them at Ashgood Porsche - he didn't like the bits that go in front of the front wheels but I really like them!

Agree, totally transforms it! Really nice.
If you're referring to "The Flying Carrot", then thank you!! Just wish I'd had the decals fitted in time for my last trip to the South of France in October 2019 where after breakfast I found its nearly inverse French number parked...
Just a counter-point.
Stickers are very ‘marmite’. They do divide opinion and many don’t like them, myself included.
Reminiscent of the Halfords ‘go-faster’ stripes that boy racers used to stick on their cars.
Everyone knows it’s a Porsche, doesn’t need it blazened down the sides, and never seen a Porsche that looks better with stripes, (2.7RS the possible exception).
Just IMO, but I’m not the only one.

It's a personal thing I guess. I wasn't planning on putting anything on it until I saw a white Cayman with red decals whilst out and about and really liked the look of it. Still think it looks better 'in the flesh' then in any of the photo's above, and I guess if I don't like it I can always take them off again.

Well that’s my weekend ruined, scraping decals off car ????
Have you got any pics of yours by any chance ?

And that is indeed a stunning looking car! I really like the colour, and now I want an orange one!
And the decals really suit it as well I think, great car!

what's the popular opinion on this decal - too showy?
Grotesque - but it’s not my car so not my choice.
I normally spec my cars with ‘Badge Delete’ - the less clutter the better.
The nice Porsche crest on the bonnet is sufficient. Although, I sometimes splash out on coloured wheel centre caps on neutral coloured car
I still like the look of those red decals on that 911 on the first page, so I've bought some and put them on to see what it's like. I quite like the look, but if I change my mind they come off easily and they were only 60 quid so no harm done.

Hopefully for the better! The car gets ridiculous amounts of attention. For the first week I loved the attention, then I grew to hate it. And after a while I grew to accept it - perhaps because I was using it as a daily and I figured out how to look unapproachable because seriously, everyone wants to talk to you about it. Little old ladies say they love the colour, and teenagers shout "rev it!". And then there are the times I return to it to see people photographing it or posing for a photo next to it! Anyway I've recently bought a barge for comfort and going back to feeling anonymous which I like. And it makes "The Carrot" feel more special when I do drive it.

I did the decals thing - I just like them, I think. I'd get a top of the windscreen sun strip with my name on it if I could.
I have an orange Porsche windscreen one I bought from the U.S. at the same time as my side decals. I decided against fitting it, so it's available if you want it. Let me know!

I was kidding - I'm quite tall and I have enough trouble seeing traffic lights as it is.

Gold matte paint on the wheels? Nice! Any more pics?

It's bronze rather than gold. Anodic bronze in semi-matt, if I'm remembering correctly which would be new. The stickers are a close enough match. I also took the rear Cayman badge off and replaced it with a bronze decal because I was fed up with all the mould growing in and around it.
I can't seem to find any more pictures, unfortunately.

Sorry for the dull question but where did you get the decal from and is it the right size etc?
Still don’t get the decal thing.
Is it because some people may not know it’s a Porsche?
Or, like some designer fashion labels, the brand is more important than the item?

Just left nos on from last event. People don't even think about messing around on the road when they see the sticker
I'd have thought the rear arch intakes say "Turbo" and they alone are enough. But if I'd been in an event and hade race numbers on my car, I wouldn't be in a hurry to take them off either. Thing is, if you have an accident and the insurance discovers the decals, would that be classed as an undeclared modification? Side stripes are a factory option so would likely be ignored, while race numbers are definitely not!

You'd be surprised how many don't know it's a Porsche. The number of times I've seen people (mostly young kids) pointing at me saying "Look at that Orange Ferrari!" is more than the number of fingers I have on two hands. At least now even the most oblivious parent can say, "no, it's not a Ferrari!". I guess for most little boys, brightly coloured sports car = Ferrari. It still happens, but much less often now!
Just ordered a front plate sticker and motorsport door decals from Highgate House - massively impressed by them.
Rang to discuss colours, they sent a load of swatches straight away (literally the next day) and offered advice about how light will affect colour, to try them against the car's base colour when dry/wet/early morning/sunset - could not do enough to help
Looking forward to seeing them now!
I recently bought an old Boxster and thought it looked a bit bland and anaemic in plain jane white.
So I stuck some stripes on it to cheer it up a bit.
Personally, I think it's a big improvement, but I appreciate that it's not to everyone's taste.
I suppose it would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Like that but I suspect it would fit better with the overall look if it were in black. Nice job! Hopefully picking up a nice 987.1 Boxster later this week or early next! Back to the poverty pork fold!
