Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All A section of my underbody covers has given up the ghost after driving through a flood  Part number is 99650412901 - the section under the engine. OPC are quoting £100ish. No problem with that but it that they best way to go?

POST 2Original post

Yep. Some of the specialist breakers like Douglas valley or 9apart will have good second hand ones about half list price plus vat. Sometimes porsche will give you a small discount off the list price, OPC Chester are not the greatest but if you ask they have been known to..

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for that! Ordered from Chester OPC this morning - will be in Wednesday. Mentioned 911UK and got 10% discount so a pleasant transaction.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I finally get the car into the workshop to fit this rear undertray along with my new shiny exhaust silencers. I get a call an hour later to tell me that the rear undertray is fitted, but I'm missing the front one also.

POST 5Original post

Did whoever does your servicing not mention the front under tray is missing or was it self-diagnosis that only the rear was needed? I guess if they have the front in stock, they can fit it whilst its up on the ramp. Otherwise another order and booking to have the front one fitted. Frustrating for sure.

POST 6Original post

if you have some ramps to drive up on it will take you about 4 minutes to fit a new front under tray. Various under trays on mine were cracked and missing chunks etc. par for the course on an old car so I have been slowly replacing them as I see them cheap on eBay etc. Now mine is complete again!

POST 7Original post

Mine's missing the rear (Gearbox) tray but they don't seem to come up too often. Didn't know it was missing till an OPC check pointed it out! Anyone got a decent spare for sale?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nah - all self-diagnosis. The rear piece was scraping on the floor when I noticed it. Ordered a new one etc. and put it on the list of jobs for the workshop. Didn't think to check the other pieces!

POST 9Original post

I had a piece of undertray missing (think it was front air duct) and it took 6 services (6 years!!) before the OPC noticed!!

POST 10Original post

I got mine from douglas valley breakers by post in the end for half the OPC cost. It was mint.

POST 11Original post

When looking to buy genuine new parts I think Bell & Colvill are worth checking. They have a good web site with PET diagrams and part numbers which are linked to the new versions if they've been updated. They're also almost always a good bit less money than D911 and most times also less than OPC. In this case the part mentioned is £65 plus vat. https://www.deroure.com/partinfo.as...6&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=99650412901&SC=1&PBID=120836 Cheers,

POST 12Original post

Great tip - just had a look at a few comparisons and they are a lot cheaper than d911

POST 13Original post

Thanks, coincidentally I did look there after Demort brought the site to our attention. B&C are also quite close to where I live although I do tend to use our OPC too as they are often cheaper than D911 and I want to encourage Porsche to keep supporting us with parts availablity.
