Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Something seems to have changed but from what I have read, a worn clutch will start feeling heavier, not lighter?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was doing a rather spirited onramp acceleration to the highway with shifts around 6500 and upon reaching my off ramp and gearing down I notice that the clutch pedal force felt lighter. Something seems to have changed but from what I have read, a worn clutch will start feeling heavier, not lighter? I cant feel or see any slippage by watching rpms. It does seem that when in first from a stop the clutch feels a little stutery when first starting to move, almost as if something is warped in spots, yet the clutch is grabbing rather than slipping. Am I imagining something thats not a problem or is it an indicator of something amiss? I could not smell burning clutch or anything so I'm not shure if its a pedal/linkage issue or something else causing a lighter clutch effort. Don't know if its the original clutch or not, I'm at ~80k miles. Any ideas or guesses?
