Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Right arm: Whilst I'm changing gear with the left, the right is constantly tensed trying to stop the car tramlining into a curb or oncming traffic.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, after 6 weeks of 996TT ownership I'm cancelling my gym membership... Left arm: My short shift kit is so stiff it takes a proper yank to get it out of gear and then a massive push/pull to get it into the next one. Right arm: Whilst I'm changing gear with the left, the right is constantly tensed trying to stop the car tramlining into a curb or oncming traffic. Left leg: My clutch is heavy. I assumed it would never be Nissan light but it is heavy. Also yesterday when doddling along in 2nd at 10mph in traffic when I dipped it it didnt disengage gear and I nearly hit the car in front! Right leg: Used to pull my slender, ahem, stone out of the car. Neck: Massive acceleration and braking forces keep it nice and tight. Sphincter: Clenched regularly either at the massive speed or the sight of a flourescent jacket half a mile ahead in the layby. Johnson: Gets a work out looking out the window at it. The trials and tribulations of super car ownership eh?.... :thumb:

POST 2Original post

Just trying to remember if I have seen anybody training their" Sphincter" down at David Lloyds gym :?: Er. Not lately anyway... :floor:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There's a machine for everything these days

POST 4Original post

Oh yeah forgot about them, I've seen them but never been tempted myself......

POST 5Original post

You might want to get your car fixed then if it's that much of a workout.

POST 7Original post

I was also going to say that the clutch shouldn't be heavy in the Turbo as it's assisted, it's possible that someone has upgraded at some point and installed non-asissted :dont know:

POST 9Original post

For me this all points toward the clutch slave cylinder. (Still laughing about the Johnson !)
