Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

31 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 15Original post

I have a Great Dane - and she does think she's a lap dog! Also, a friend of mine drives a 996 turbo cabriolet, and he's 6'10"!

POST 16Original post

This one wants to be a lap dog..... "I see potato chips..."

POST 17Original post

Actually getting into my lowered BMW seems harder. Is it just me or does the 996 seats seem to sit a bit high? I would prefer if the seats were 1-2" lower.

POST 18Original post

5'9", 180 lbs. Hard with my Sparco Racing Seats. Getting in is easy, but getting out is sometimes fun.

I'm in the 6's too, I'm beginning to kinda roll out of my 996. I grew up with Great Danes (2 at a time), I miss them. I'm not sure I can go back to the slobber and the smell though. Quote:

POST 21Original post

Easy at 6'2" 205lbs. I actually do not have the seat all the way back either. Bad back too. With the kids in the back, I'm squished though. Same with my BMW 330CI vert.

POST 22Original post

I'm only 70 years old 225 lbs with a bad hip and no problem I just fall in, getting out is less graceful, but who cares!

POST 23Original post

I just took my 85 year old Aunt out on the weekend for breakfast in the 996tt. She definitely had problems getting in and out due to how low the car sits. But she did enjoy the drive!

POST 24Original post

I'm 6'1", 175 lbs, and I don't feel uncomfortable getting in or out of the car.

POST 25Original post

6'5" and no issue. It is not like getting in and out of a truck, but not bad at all.

POST 26Original post

6'1" and it can be interesting on a slope. Just kind of chase myself down out of the car. It is far easier than getting out of the 944, however.

POST 28Original post

No problem getting in....it's the getting out :-)

Quote: We only have one Dane, and she's not even a year old yet. Her name is Targa. I suspect we'll have another soon...

POST 30Original post

6'2'' 170, easy unless is a tight spot and don't hit my doors LOL

POST 31Original post

5'10" 170 . A little hard after my knee surgery but it's not going to keep me out of my porsche.
