Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I believe that when Gary closed his Richmond workshop some of the staff moved to other trimmers. I was told that the guy who did the steering wheels moved with the equipment to another trimmer in Richmond? I was told this by Rob Raymer and we had traded messages and he was going to get me the details on his return from vacation; just another example of the knowledge that will be sadly missed along with Rob. If anyone has details could you please post, I am looking to get a Porsche Wheel restored/repaired. I had used Gary in the past and was always happy with his work. Cheers Dave

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good idea Mark, if thats not the place they will know, given they did all of Gary's dye/colour restoration work Cheers

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, Bingo - not at Leather Creations but they connected me with him. Thanks for the suggestion @KGB He (John)  is still working part time and picks up the steering wheels from a trimmer in Richmond. I wont put his mobile on here but if anyone needs to contact him PM me and I will pass on the number.

Gary Blackmans brother, peter does same down in moorabbin... 6 nelson st, just around the corner from dakdak cafe. he just re-covered my RS doors last week. PS. I used to go to gary in richmond too, had a couple of steering wheels done there too.

POST 10Original post

Just got back from Peter Blackman in Moorabin. Really nice guy. Very happy with the first challenge I left him (seat pad)  Not cheap, not outrageous though.
