Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

whilst having my ears tuned to new danske exhaust noise i`ve suddenly noticed a ` buzzing ` hum from the passenger side dash. it fades slowly after ignition is turned off. its not from satnav cd.
what is it and should i be worried??
regards

Crikey a 996 with only one interior 'buzz', rattle or creak?
Get it framed, man... it's worth a fortune... LOL
Seriously, though, anything to do with the air-conditioning system? I think the blowers are there somewhere, aren't they?
i`m used to all the other creaks, rattles n groans, part of it`s `character`!
future classic ho ho... but it does it when AC and PCM are both turned off.
what else is lurking in that area? my 1st thoughts were fuel pump, but not there, surely?
ed
the fuel pump is inside the tank in the front, that side mostly consists of the ac and blower fans
why not take the cover off underneath the dash and have a listen as you turn the ignition off, the cover comes off in 2 secs :thumb:
found it!!
little fan whirring away ( pollen filter? ), cleaned all the dust n crap out
used some stickyback rubber draught excluder pieces on its mount and voila! no more buzz. so satisfying to work out!
