has anyone succesfully retro fitted the led runnin lights you get on the newer 911's to the 996 model? i like the look of them, but fear they will look naff if retrofitted, unless done professionally..
thanks
It's another 'each to their own' thing but I think front LEDs / DRLs may be pushing it a bit. Rear LEDs you can get away with (yours look smart), fronts I personally don't even like on the 997.2, and think they just would not suit a 996 at all.
Still, variety is the spice of life and all that; if you do it, post up some pics! :thumb:
100% agree.
In a nutshell, Audi 'invents' LED DRLs with the R8 a few years back, most other manufacturers frantically copy the idea and we see LED and non-LED DRLs on various cars launched over the last few years (with varying degrees of success, although most look awful), then Brussels pick up on it and make it law for all European cars to have DRLs by 2012 and it gets even worse. With worse surely to come...
On the positve side, my missus loves them; 'I saw one of those Audis with the Christmas Tree lights on the front of it today'...

as did GT4
but if thats what takes your fancy then fine !
If you must these look reasonable, as fairly subtle, but can't say i would.
