Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone modified the front bumper or removed the fogs from their Cayman resulting in extra/unused fog lights? I need a right-side fog light housing. A rock managed to shatter the glass of my right (passenger) fog light. Everything works fine, but it won't last long with water entering it. I'm looking for a spare/removed fog light housing for a much better price than the princely (or should I say Porsche-ly) price the dealer is asking.

POST 3Original post

Sapple89, It's not the trim pieces that I need, it's the glass & plastic housing that the light bulb sockets twist in to and that the light shines out from. $218 that the dealer quoted me is ridiculous!

POST 4Original post

POST 5Original post

in the northern california there is a place in emeryville called easy that sells used porsche parts--i believe they are still in business--i remeber back in the 70's i priced a new 914 steering wheel at the porsche dealership--porsche wanted $250 for the main part of the 914 steering wheel--part you hold--easy at that time wanted $25-$50 if i remember right and they had stacks of them--maybe there is such a place where you live

POST 6Original post

There's a CS fog on ebay right now, BIN is $90 I recall, someone is parting out a front end it seems.

POST 7Original post

Yes. Right fog light housing: 987-631-084-00 Unfortunately, the eBay listing is for the drivers side (left). I need the fog for the other side.
