Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Never mind I have solved the problem anyway, as u can see in the 2nd pic the amp remote lead hadn't been wired in.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, My c4 996 has the 10 speaker amplified bose system. I have purchased a Sny head unit and the adaptor cable required for this exact car/speaker system. after plugging it all in the head unit is getting power and working, but im getting no sound fom the speakers at all :dont know: the 3 couloured blocks coming from the porsche must be speaker cables, bose amp power supply and maybe cd changer??? anyway as you can see in the pics below it seems only the yellow block actually connects to cables on the adaptor (guessing yellow is speaker cable?) and im pretty sure the blue block is for the power supply to the bose amp(s)? then maybe the green one in the middle is cd changer? just guessing. Can anyone see where im going wrong or offer any advice? please  much appreciated. Adam

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok so nobody on here has a clue about wiring a stereo or has attempted to fit a new head unit to a Bose amplified system??? Never mind I have solved the problem anyway, as u can see in the 2nd pic the amp remote lead hadn't been wired in. Once it's connected everything works great :bye:

POST 3Original post

Hi...looking at doing this to mile with a double din unit.. Did you fit single or double din system?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I put single din in. Wiring will be the same tho. If u don't have the amplified Bose system new head unit plugs straight in, with the Bose system u need an extra lead
