Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1998-Porsche-...5459820?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item415399c1ec In negotiations how much is he worth, presuming he's in described condition? Only reason i can see he's not sold is colour!

POST 2Original post

I think the Savanna works quite well with darker colours like the blue, so I wouldn't be put off. You see plenty of them for sale, so someone must have specced it when ordering new! I think if it is as described and the mileage is genuine then I would start the negotiations at £11k and work towards £11.5. It depends how strongly you want it. Could you live with the colour knowing that you had bought a clean, tidy car?

POST 3Original post

Look a nice car from what the ad says and 60 k is great milage for the year Only good though if you can live with the interior ......... I couldn't but we are all different :?: You need to see it in the flesh to see if it is as good as he says as they normally arnt

POST 4Original post

He's done his own servicing on the car, It's no good without FSH because you need to sell the car later + he comes across as a bit of a dealer. Ask how many previous owners and how long he's had it for?

POST 5Original post

IF the car is as good as described including the history and ownership it would certainly be one worth getting a PPI done on. There's a couple of things that would put me off personally. I don't much like that particular blue and I'm not a fan of those wheels but that's purely down to personal taste. I don't mind the interior colour at all. Re value. imo, IF it's as described suggest starting at £11.5k and knock money off for things found on the PPI. If the seller's as he seems he'd know that's not a bad private sale price and wouldn't expect the PPI to throw much up. Good luck T8

POST 6Original post

Nige Forgive me but I dont like this car. It looks very dated which is unusal to say from driving a 993 but the body lacks definition and the amber lenses and Mk1 style lights dont do it any favours. I think its the flatness of the colour as well that dates it. Silver for example makes this model look so different. I'd probably agree ~£11-£12k

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

12 will buy it probably even 11.5. I like the interior, but the exterior colour? Just so dull, i think its the tinted windows making it look worse???? you sods youve put me off him now :hand: Would have been a nice stop gap car

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How about this one, i know its another marmite but silver and red are like love and mariage.... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2091425.htm Is this the nicest ever colour 911? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2127256.htm or is it this one? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1829328.htm I know its up on miles but with that respay? Anyone seen it?

POST 9Original post

Nige Like all of them - see how different the 996 looks in silver? Red interior looks a good combo :thumb: Targa willl be hard work with no PAS and looks like it needs a few thousand spending on it - leather refurb and alloy refurb to fan etc. 964 Targa - now that looks nice, White (Linen) leather looks superb as long at it is cleaned with no age cracks etc. On balance this would be my choice if it stacks up :thumb:

POST 10Original post

What about this one. :? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...postcode/ha63qd/page/1/keywords/fsh?logcode=p

POST 11Original post

The silver 996 was sold for sub £11k privately about 3 to 4 months ago. Could get the price down on that one. The 964 is a targa which are worth less than a coupe. Not really my cup of tea with the colour combo and targa. 3.2 again targa.
