Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I've seen plenty of 1999 GT3s still running an original looking exhaust.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Having a general look on the Porsche shop I was shocked at the cost of the replacement exhaust (£4320) for the above given my car is 7 years old now. Does anyone know the expected life of the gen1 exhausts and are there after market options with PSE button option. Mine is a low mileage car circa 13,000 but I know that doesn't always mean it would last any longer than a higher mileage car. Thoughts and experiences guys? I've seen plenty of 1999 GT3s still running an original looking exhaust. I'd think it primarily depends on how much of its time it spends wet/salty etc. No reason to think your couldn't have many years left if you keep the car reasonably clean.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
