Hi guys, Im gonna be replacing manifolds with performance ones and a performance exhaust system as well on my 996tt so I'm thinking I may as well refresh all the bolts under there while its all off.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys, Im gonna be replacing manifolds with performance ones and a performance exhaust system as well on my 996tt so I'm thinking I may as well refresh all the bolts under there while its all off. But I want a permanent solution like stainless steel bolts or something that will never rust in the future. Does anyone do a kit for that?? Cheers guys!
There's no kit that I know of per se. I didn't have a convenient merchant that I could purchase small quantities of stainless hardware from but I found some excellent ebay sellers, selling small quantities of stainless hardware, often with free shipping. All the bolt lengths / sizes are in PET.
Wayne there is a small shop in North Hykeham that I've bought stainless bolts from, cant remember their name but on the Station Rd I think. I was on the hunt for some for my exhuast tips. To be honest these days its just easier and quicker when you need specific sizes to buy online as you suggest.
Thanks for the info guys! I think that sounds like a good idea! Can anyone tell me the thread patterns etc... for all the bolts that are likely to get rusty under a 996tt?? I would like to look at them and be able to send them off or sumthing but my guess is they are going to get mullered in the process of removal so I wont know what they were!
I think I know the one you mean, sadly, not open on weekends as I discovered... and being impatient as I am....lol
Yaz the M8s are 1.25
I didnt check any of the rest but I did order some M10x1.25 nuts and washers while I was at it. I'm sure they wont go astray.
I'd suggest you download the PET program - the parts diagrams in there show you all the bolt lengths and much more of course. There is a link to it on my web page if you don't already have it.
Cheers,
