Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I have a 2005 Boxster. I put an after market HID kit with ballaces. They worked fine until I flashed my car with softtronic. Soon after the lights started to flick then sometimes would not turn on at all. I took the lights out and the bulbs are fine, I'm thinking it's the ballaces. The lights were put in 1.5 year ago by pfaff tunning. ANY ideas what the problem is ??? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Both sides show the same symptoms? If not, swap a bulb to the other side to narrow the issue down. Probably bad ballasts.

POST 3Original post

yeah, swap the components (bulb, relay, ballast) one at a time from left to right and see if the problem follows the swap. I would think the issue is unrelated to softronics and is just a coincidence. My experience with aftermarket HID is they don't last much longer than 2 yrs.

POST 4Original post

Thanks for the input. My lights are still not working and the psm and left signal light are not working. I think it's electrical time to book an appointment.
