The 911 LE was only UK supplied in RHD 330 BHP one of 50 even though it was claimed 53 were built (they had a Gold LE plaque but it wasn't numbered) The cost new was just shy of £90K but many changed hands and flipped for £120/130K which I did with my first one, they were the days...

Many of these cars are referred to as Turbo S, but that's not an official label Porsche used until the 964 model.

Suggestion
An interior with 100 thousand miles of use would seem out of place on a new car, in my view.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just clearing out the junk messages and users from my site and stumbled across a previous review on the 911 Turbo LE -
http://www.fastgerman.com/911-turbo.htm
'Bought for: £28,000 in 2007 (and sold for £48,500 in 2009 with 22k miles - good investment)'
Wonder what it's worth today if he didn't sell in 2009, which I believe went to a Porsche dealer.
I reckon over £100k making almost 400% in 8 years if he hung on. Yikes
I sold my White Turbo LE (G700 WFT) with 13k on it around 15 years ago for £35000........!
But I was happy at the time that was the going rate..... I would thought with double the miles it would be £120K + today.....
When I think about it there's a few cars I have sold that are similar,a BMW Z8 with 7K on it for £55K.. that's £140K + today....But that's life....

don't beat yourself up, if you bought property in a decent location it would have risen a higher %

Beating myself up...
far from it,maybe quote the hole post.?
I look at it as having the pleasure and experiance of owning such cars as i have done over the years with many marques,i do have a small collection of cars that I will not sell but generally speaking I change them quite regularly...
BMW i8 due 1st of march...

have one yourself
and it was just a phrase, I didn't think we were actually thrashing yourself with a birch, or genuinely upset. Merely pointing out other assets have risen by as much/more, sounds a lovely car btw - got any pics?

I think it's more that it's been retrimmed (and looks quite matt) so you lose the originality. Black interior with a guard red exterior is great and certainly of the period.

I think it looks really special .. what do you think it cost? similar to a flatnose original?

Stunning car but it is a LHD, which maybe why it was a 911 (930) Turbo S.
The UK got the 911 (930) Turbo Limited Edition which looks to be the same car but only 50 RHD examples.
As for cost...LOTS if it's just been rebuilt in that condition.

As Harry himself points out in the video when he opens the door, he is disappointed it has been re-trimmed. It’s lost all its patina and looks utterly dreadful inside as a result. The leather doesn’t match the type originally used and it really lets the car down having been re-trimmed to that degree. Harry himself is not thrilled by it.

Utterly dreadful?
You just can’t help yourself, can you?

Slight divergence in opinion. You obviously like the interior. I am with Harry and dislike it. The car is sensational, as a whole, but that interior stops it from being a 10 out of 10. Burt if you like then i can respect that POV.
He said he’d prefer it if it wasn’t re-trimmed; he didn’t say it was “utterly dreadful”. That was you.
My opinion is that while patina is all well and good, the entire car has had a restoration down to the nuts & bolts. It’s effectively a new car. I don’t see why you wouldn’t re-do the interior too. An interior with 100 thousand miles of use would seem out of place on a new car, in my view.
When my numbers come up and I get a Singer (any day now), I’d be mighty surprised if they re-fitted the old interior on that, too.
The problem with that interior is that it’s a matt leather like you would find in a BMW, period Porsche leather has more of a sheen to it. Suspect that is what Harry doesn’t like.

100%.
If I was retrimming I'd want someone who could deliver an original (but new) finish.

A Singer is a completely bespoke car which includes a bespoke interior.
Harry's car has an original interior refinished in a non-original finish.
Had they finished it new but as it left the factory I'm sure he'd have been happy.

Indeed. O’Rourke are one such company in the UK. This video shows a 930 turbo being put back to an original finish having had a bodged in internal restoration

Always good to know. I always here Southbound mentioned, at a cost.
Wouldn't be surprised if Harry gets the interior done properly. The car deserves to be 100% correct. It would also be useful content for a future video.
I actually preferred his previous 930 Turbo. Sounds like the Esprit had to go too which is a shame.

No that is a poor attempt from you to respect that people have different opinions to you.
You will note in previous replies I acknowledge and respect that others might love that interior. Just because someone says something you don't agree with does not make them a troll.
There was no official Turbo S on the 930, there was a performance pack that became available for all customers with deep pockets through Porsche's 'Special wishes' programme from model year 84 onwards. Many of these cars are referred to as Turbo S, but that's not an official label Porsche used until the 964 model. Flatnose models aside, very few UK cars were converted, although they did do more European LHD versions. This uprated engine was not US compliant which is why we see US flatnose cars with the standard engine. What is interesting about Harry's car, and he may not get to the bottom of it, is it seems it was a US client that ordered it. Being an late 89 car, it would have gone through 'Porsche exclusive' and been optioned correctly on the build sheet (a bit like a UK LE model). Since Harry's car is a US spec car, this car would not have initially been built with this engine, hence why its not on the car's build sheet. IMHO though, this is definitely a factory uprated engine, so I can only guess the car was converted after its build (a bit like a 'Special Wishes' car) on the request of what must have been a very important customer. Of course there is always the possibility that the car was converted in the US as it sounds like the initial owner had the knowledge and scope to easily do this and now obsolete parts were readily available back in the day. The black headlamp bezels, rear wiper delete and rear badge delete would have just been a preference of one of the previous owners.
