Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

More and more frequently, when I use the auto up to raise the passenger window from a completly open position, it stops a little past halfway, then goes down a half inch. I am able to close it only by holding the switch in the manual mode. It's a 2007 CS, still under warranty, but dealer is two hours away. Any ideas? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

this happened to me recently as well. after searching on the forums here, i found there are 3 things that can be done. 1) make sure the window is clear of debris 2) "reset" the window by holding the "up" position for a few seconds 3) take it to the dealer who will investigate, and possibly replace the window motor i cleaned my window inside and out, inside the crevice, seals, and everything, and it still did it. tried resetting the window but to no avail. i took it to the dealer, who then, took apart the door, greased everything and then it started working. they did say if it happened again, they'll have to keep it b/c i assume they're going to replace that window motor. good luck!
