Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an issue with my convertible top that seems to be getting worse. When I put the top up or down, I hear a "whir, whir whir" noise from the motor. I'd like to address this, but I don't know if it's the top top transmission or the motor. Any guesses? Thanks for your help. Tony Sent from my SM-X700 using Tapatalk

Tony - it’s not entirely clear what the problem is. Are you thinking that the sound has changed over time, or that you don’t like the noise that it’s always made? Mine is far from quiet, and has been that way for the last 18 years and 190k miles.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Obviously, the motor has always made noise. But recently, the top action and the noise are less smooth and more pulsing. It's not quite jerky in its motion, but it's jetting worse. Tony Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
