Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 986Forum: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hey everybody After locking my 2005 boxster either with the key, or the remote, the alarm goes of after about 5 or 10 mins. The horn honks for awhile, and then the running lights flash until I unlock it.Is it possible to disarm the alarm? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

You probably have a moth or other flying insect trapped in the cabin. Seriously. Try covering the IR sensors with thick tape and see if the problem goes away. If it does, it was a bug.

POST 3Original post

While locking, press lock button a second time and you will get a long 'flash' confirmation. This will disable the interior motion sensor. If it misbehaves again then issue is upstream. If does not repeat issue is interior motion sensor. Good luck

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks! I will follow your advice. Love the Prius quote.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just to clarify, press the button on the key twice , and the taillights flash? Thx
