I know that a few people have come across this issue judging by previous posts but have not seen a reply that states the problem was corrected.

The car was apparently checked by OPC prior to me purchasing and found no fault codes , stating it was normal, however I now know different.

Hi Folks, Firstly, I am new to the Forum. I have been a 2003 model, 996tt owner for a little over a month now and so far enjoyed every mile I have driven. Unfortunately I work overseas so don't get to drive the car as much as i would like. But so far best car by far, even with some small issues, one of which I am looking for some advice about. I know that a few people have come across this issue judging by previous posts but have not seen a reply that states the problem was corrected. This issue as the title states is hesitation at approx 1500 rpm, mainly in first and second gear. I know it is not turbo lag and some times the hesitation is quite pronounced, other times minimal. The car was apparently checked by OPC prior to me purchasing and found no fault codes , stating it was normal, however I now know different. Anyway I would appreciate if anyone would be able to pinpoint where to start if nothing is showing up on diagnostics , MAF ? Coil Packs ? Plugs ? Intercooler lines ? The car is still under 12 month OPC warranty, by the way. Many thanks in advance for your input

Thanks GT4, I have actually managed to find someone selling a new unused MAF , so will give the new one a try and take it from there. Obviously if that doesn't do the trick then I will need to start looking else where.

The MAF is covered under the Warranty ':?:' - at least I had mine changed!

Yes copy that, however managed to pick up an unused MAF for a very good price. So will try it out to see if it is original one that is at fault then I can push OPC to change out mine. Then I have a spare for future use without paying over £200 for it
